Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best known in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of performances until 1957 when Li'l Abner became big in the National Theatre. She also released her first album, titled It's Time to Tina in the same year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood playing Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The movie received wide acclaim as well as Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. While a student of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. The actress joined CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise had a long and successful career balancing Broadway television with Hollywood and portraying somber, as opposed to the glamour doll image she had been portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series starred her as SG-1's Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she also became a well-known director for popular TV series like Supernatural as well as The 100. The family she was born into moved from Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision for the lead role.
